Shared mobility

Shared mobility services are reshaping urban transport by offering alternatives to private car ownership. Solutions such as car-sharing, car-pooling and bike-sharing have expanded rapidly to meet the mobility needs of dense cities, but also suburban and rural areas. Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms integrate shared mobility with traditional public transport, while the private sector continues to drive innovation and collaboration in this area.

POLIS research and projects

POLIS has been working on this topic since its beginnings, producing reports such as Macro Managing Micro Mobility, Sharing Data for Shared Micromobility and Catch Me if You Can! - Micromobility paper. POLIS also contributes to several European projects focused on developing policies and strategies for shared mobilities, like SMAPE, deployment of shared and digital mobility hubs with ShareDiMobiHub, and improving shared mobility solutions in cities and regions through SUM.
