2019 Annual Polis Conference
The Polis Conference 2019 took place in Brussels on 27-28 November 2019 and brought together over 600 participants. The conference also marked the 30th anniversary of Polis.
2018 Annual Polis Conference
On 22 November, Polis kicked off its 2018 Conference ‘Innovation in Transport for Sustainable Cities and Regions’ with a record number of 550 participants. The conference was opened by a welcome address from the Mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham. He emphasised that transport policies should not only benefit individuals, but that they should also serve the public interest.
2017 Annual Polis Conference
This year’s Annual Polis Conference on “Transport innovation for sustainable cities and regions” took place on 6 and 7 December 2017 in Brussels. The Polis Annual General Assembly (Polis members only) was scheduled for 5 December 2017.
2016 Annual Polis Conference
This year’s Annual Polis Conference on “Transport innovation for sustainable cities and regions” took place on 1 and 2 December 2016 in Rotterdam. Side events and Polis’ Annual General Assembly (AGA, for Polis members only) were scheduled for 30 November.
2014 Annual Polis Conference
We were pleased to welcome 280 participants at this year’s Annual Polis Conference in Madrid! Delegates attended 16 parallel sessions and 2 high-level plenaries and helped in reaching the next level to tackle local challenges through urban transport innovation. Thank you all!
The 2014 Polis Conference is the major platform for cities, metropolitan areas and regions to exchange on their transport challenges. High-level plenary sessions are complemented by technical sessions showing innovation in policy and practice across the transport spectrum.

With over 350 people registered, among which Polis members accounted for one-third, the 2013 Annual Polis Conference set the record as the most popular Polis conference ever. Delegates gathered at Area42 in Brussels to learn about the latest developments and future plans across a wide range of transport themes in 17 parallel sessions and two plenary sessions.
