The Annual POLIS Conference 2026

Following a record-breaking 2025 edition in Utrecht with over 1,000 participants, the next Annual POLIS Conference will be hosted in Brussels, Belgium, on 2–3 December 2026.

The event will take place at THE EGG, a former warehouse turned conference centre, within walking distance of the Brussels South railway and metro station. The venue offers 5,000 m² of modular exhibition space, flexible break-out rooms, two large halls for social activities and an Auditorium with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.

Registrations are now OPEN

An early-bird rate of EUR 395 is available exclusively for the first 100 registrations; after that, the standard conference fee will be EUR 495 (excluding VAT).

Attendance at the Walking Dinner & After-party on 2 December is optional and requires a separate ticket, regardless of conference registration. The applicable fees are listed here.

Confirmation and payment

After registering online, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement confirming that we have received your registration request. Your registration will then be reviewed:

  • If you are eligible for free attendance, you will receive an email from POLIS.
  • If payment is required, you will receive an invoice by email from Odoo. Payment can be made online or by bank transfer, and your registration will be confirmed once payment has been received.

 

Cancellation policy

Registrations cancelled after 2 November 2026 are non-refundable.

This year’s programme features 40 parallel sessions and two high-level plenaries on the topics of housing and AI implications with transport, bringing together policy-makers, industry leaders, city and regional representatives, researchers, and mobility experts from across Europe and beyond. Across two days, participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, discover innovative projects, and discuss the latest policy and technological developments shaping the future of sustainable urban mobility.

New for 2026, the Conference will feature eight hosted sessions, organised by leading organisations and EU-funded projects. Taking place on the afternoon of 3 December, these sessions will provide expert insights into some of the most pressing challenges facing cities and regions today, while showcasing practical solutions, pioneering initiatives, and lessons learned from across Europe.

      Abstract submissions for individual presentations were closed on 24 April 2026.

      Notification to selected participants will be sent in June 2026.

      REMEMBER:

      • POLIS members attend free (1 ticket per accepted presentation).
      • Non-members: €100 reduced fee per presentation (1 speaker only, excl. dinner); second speaker pays full delegate rate.

      Organisations and projects could apply to host, design, and lead their own dedicated session on DAY 2 of the Annual POLIS Conference (Thursday, 3 December, from 14:15 to 16:15) up until 24 April 2026.

      Up to six sessions will be selected based on relevance, innovation, results, and speaker quality, and applicants will be informed of the outcome by 22 May 2026.
