Here comes some exciting news! SMALL is one of the finalists in the Interreg Project Slam 2024-2025, a landmark event that highlights the powerful results of the most impactful cross-border European cooperation projects. Since its inception in 2015, the competition has been a key platform for showcasing success stories that drive positive change across Europe. This edition's theme, 'Stories of Inclusion and Empowerment', showcases initiatives that aim to improve mobility, healthcare, culture, and education across Europe.
What is SMALL?
The SMALL project strives to make shared mobility accessible to children, families, the elderly, and physically impaired people—part of a wider group classified as people with reduced mobility. Lasting for 3 years from 2023 to 2026, it counts on highly committed and innovative partners such as POLIS members City of Amsterdam, Vervoerregio Amsterdam, and Mpact, but also the Capital Region of Copenhagen, De Fiestssambassade Gent, Brest Metropole, City of Saint-Quentin, knowledge organisations University of Gent, The Vrije University of Amsterdam, Rupprecht consulting, and POLIS.
As the only finalist focusing on mobility, SMALL stands out for its commitment to inclusive and sustainable transport. The project's mission is to foster a shared mobility ecosystem that meets the needs of all users, including people with reduced mobility, ensuring accessibility for everyone.
