Save the date for the MOBILITYAWARDS ceremony!

Mark your calendars! The MOBILITYAWARDS ceremony and workshops will take place in Brussels on 27 March 2025 and be hosted by the European Commission.

That’s right! The MOBILITYAWARDS (which include the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK and the MOBILITYACTION awards) ceremony and workshops will take place in Brussels on 27 March 2025. Hosted by the European Commission (EC), this exciting full-day event will bring together urban mobility professionals and EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK (EMW) campaign organisers from both national and local levels.

The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK award honours local authorities that have excelled in raising awareness of sustainable urban mobility during the campaign’s main week in September. Meanwhile, the MOBILITYACTION award celebrates outstanding achievements in mobility management, including mobility plans and other strategies that make a tangible impact on sustainable transport.

A campaign...for all!

Since 2002, the EMW has been the EC’s flagship campaign for raising awareness about sustainable urban mobility. Its mission is to improve public health and quality of life by promoting clean and sustainable urban mobility while encouraging people to rethink how they use city streets. The campaign also provides a platform to explore practical solutions for tackling urban challenges such as air pollution.

The theme for 2025 is 'Mobility for Everyone', highlighting the need for a transport system that is genuinely available, accessible, affordable, and inclusive for everyone - regardless of income, location, gender or abilities. This year’s campaign will thus focus on tackling transport poverty, ensuring that public transport, walking and cycling are viable and fair options for all.

Celebrating positive innovation

All year long, inspiring participants across Europe drive action to make walking, cycling, and public transport the go-to choices for daily travel. By celebrating this year’s finalists, the project seeks to shine a spotlight on their innovative work in promoting shared public space and driving real, positive change.

More details on the award ceremony and workshops - including the announcement of this year’s finalists - will be published on the EMW website in the coming weeks.
