Showcase your local action linking health and mobility with the HLEU project
Does your city or region promote healthy lifestyles by linking sectors like mobility, health, planning or education? Share your initiative and contribute to a growing European platform of impactful practices.
Cities and regions across Europe are developing innovative ways to support healthier living—connecting mobility, health, urban design, education, sustainability, and more. If your administration is implementing cross-sector actions that promote physical activity and well-being, POLIS invites you to share your experience on the Healthy Lifestyles for Europe (HL4EU) Good Practice Platform.
Your contribution will help build a shared knowledge base, inspire other local actors, and support European policy work. Selected practices may also be invited to participate in Virtual Focus Groups contributing to HL4EU’s recommendations.
By sharing your experience, you can:
- Highlight your initiative on a European platform
- Inspire peers working on mobility, planning, health, or community action
- Contribute to the policy work of HL4EU through potential participation in Virtual Focus Groups
- Strengthen visibility for local solutions that make healthy living easier and more inclusive
HL4EU is particularly interested in initiatives that:
- Connect at least two sectors (e.g. mobility and health, education and planning)
- Encourage active lifestyles in measurable ways
- Demonstrate sustainable approaches or innovative thinking
Examples might include school travel programmes, active design in public spaces, sport prescriptions, green infrastructure for walking and cycling, or arts-based community health projects.
The platform already features inspiring practices from across Europe. You can explore them by sector—mobility, health, education, urban planning, community, and more—or dive into sub-sectors like public administration, environmental sustainability, or culture and arts.
POLIS is a partner in the HL4EU project, leading the work on how urban mobility and planning contribute to healthier communities. Our role is to identify, promote and connect local practices that integrate physical activity into daily life.
