EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK 2026

The 2026 edition of EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK will take place from 16 to 22 September. This initiative invites cities and municipalities across Europe to take action towards cleaner, more inclusive mobility.

EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK, held annually on 16-22 September, is the European Commission’s leading campaign on sustainable urban mobility. It promotes behavioural change in favour of active mobility, public transport, and other clean transport solutions.

During Mobility Week, local authorities are invited to experiment and test innovative mobility ideas. These can include organising car-free days, hosting events, and showcasing new infrastructure.

This year, the theme is again 'Mobility for Everyone', to continue the conversations started in the 2025 edition and ensure that no one is left behind in the transition toward sustainable mobility. The spotlight is on the topic of intergenerational fairness, highlighting how a truly inclusive mobility system offers diverse, reliable and
affordable transport options for children, youths, adults, and older people alike—today and for future generations.
