Save the date for the 2026 MOBILITYAWARDS ceremony and workshops!

The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK (EMW) and MOBILITYACTION Awards ceremony and workshops will be held on 17 March 2026 in Brussels, hosted by the European Commission.

The MOBILITYAWARDS (which include the EMW and the MOBILITYACTION awards) ceremony and workshops bring together mobility experts, local and regional authorities, and campaign organisers for a one-day event dedicated to highlighting outstanding initiatives for clean and sustainable urban mobility.

The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Award recognises municipalities that have organised and implemented innovative activities to promote sustainable mobility during the campaign's key week, held annually from 16 to 22 September. The other recognition presented is the MOBILITYACTION award, which rewards civil society organisations, businesses, citizen initiatives, educational institutions, and municipalities that have implemented excellent MOBILITYACTION throughout the year.

In 2025, the EMW Award went to POLIS member Bologna. The Italian city was recognised for its incredible efforts in making sustainable mobility more accessible, inclusive, and safer.

Promoting intergenerational mobility

EMW is the European Commission's flagship campaign on sustainable mobility. This initiative was launched in 2022, and it aims to raise awareness and promote active mobility, public transport, and other sustainable transport modes.

The theme for this year's workshops is 'Mobility for everyone – across generations', highlighting the need to create transport systems that are available, accessible, and inclusive for everyone, from kids to senior citizens.
