IRU-POLIS Webinar #1 - Zero-emission freight – from long-haul to last mile
POLIS and the International Road Transport Union are co-hosting a webinar series focusing on the decarbonisation of road freight transport connecting long-haul and last-mile operations. This series of three panel discussions provides a forum for cities, regions, and the European freight industry to identify what is needed to maintain efficient goods transport in (peri-)urban areas and across long distances while creating a high living standard in Europe. POLIS and IRU invite you to register for the introductory webinar on 13 February, 2024 (15:00-16:00h), by clicking the button below.
The second webinar in this series will take place on 12 March 2024 from 15:00 to 16:30 and will focus on zero-emission logistics in a (peri-)urban environment. The third webinar highlight current challenges and solutions concerning energy infrastructure will be broadcasted on 16 April 2024 at the same time.
Both organisations are convening a diverse group of entities in three online meetings to discuss the EU roadmap towards climate neutrality by 2050. IRU and POLIS will highlight different aspects of zero-emission logistics. Exchanges between industry leaders, cities and innovative EU-funded projects will share zero-emission freight solutions and information on the full spectrum of road freight transport. The webinar series will also provide an opportunity for EU-funded projects to present preliminary results, based on real-world piloting of physical and digital equipment for heavy-duty vehicles.
Join us to shape the future of battery electric and fuel cell electric HDVs that will enable the sustainable delivery of goods in all environments, from long-haul to last mile.
