Hydrogen and reFuels as drivers towards climate neutrality - What framework conditions are needed at the European level?

POLIS' member Baden-Württemberg is hosting an exciting, hybrid event this Thursday, 24 March 2022.

Titled "Hydrogen and reFuels as drivers towards climate neutrality - What framework conditions are needed at the European level?", it is part of Baden-Württemberg's compelling event series, "Brussels Debate on the Strategic Dialogue for the Automotive Sector BW."

Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies can play a vital role in transitioning towards innovative low-emission technologies, and Baden-Württemberg knows this well. This forward-thinking region already paved the way for establishing these technologies through its hydrogen roadmap and is now going a step further by developing a roadmap for refuels as part of the Strategic Dialogue for the Automotive Sector BW.

Thursday's new event will introduce Baden-Württemberg's activities, further steps in hydrogen and refuels, and discuss necessary framework conditions for a successful market ramp-up at the EU level. It will count with the presence of significant EU representatives, and is divided into three panels:

  • Panel I: "Opportunities of the hydrogen economy for Baden-Württemberg - Implementation of the hydrogen roadmap"
  • Panel II: "Baden-Württemberg's roadmap for reFuels – Necessary framework conditions for the timely ramp-up of climate-neutral fuels in the transport sector"
  • Panel III: "An ambitious European framework for hydrogen and reFuels economy"

You can follow the event either in person at the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the European Union or online via Livestream. A simultaneous interpretation in German and English will be provided.

You can find more information about this event (such as full agenda and registration) at the State of Baden-Württemberg's official website here.
