Policy communications
DURATION: 2-4 HOURS
Developed by our Senior Policy Advisor, this training teaches how to communicate sustainable mobility policies in ways that build understanding, trust, and public support. Through practical exercises and behavioural insights, participants explore how people respond to change, how narratives shape perceptions, and how communication can help turn resistance into constructive dialogue.
Topics include framing, messaging, storytelling, public engagement, and the psychology behind decision-making.

Road safety for Ukrainian cities
DURATION: 6 HOURS (4 online modules of 1.5 hours each)
Developed with CIVINET Ukraine and the POLIS Road Safety Working Group, this training equips transport professionals with the principles, strategies, and practical measures needed to improve road safety.
Based on the New Paradigm for Safe City Streets, the programme covers traffic calming, safe street design, implementation strategies, and effective communication, while fostering exchange between professionals working in challenging contexts. It also supports planning for post-conflict recovery.

Gender and mobility
DURATION: 1-2 HOURS
This interactive session, organised by the POLIS Just Transition Taskforce, explores how transport systems are experienced differently depending on social roles, identities, and lived realities.
Using quizzes, role-playing activities, and collaborative discussion, participants examine how factors such as caregiving responsibilities, age, disability, income, migration status, and gender identity shape everyday mobility experiences and access to transport.
