RESKILLING Annual Stakeholder Event 2026: Shaping the future of jobs and skills in CCAM

On 9 December 2026, from 09:30 to 12:30 CET, RESKILLING will host its 2026 Annual Virtual Stakeholder Event. Join stakeholders from industry, research, policy, training and international organisations to discuss how Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) will shape jobs, skills and business models across the mobility sector.

The event will share progress and key findings, exchange experiences with the RESKILLING community, and contribute to discussions on the employment and skills implications of CCAM deployment. Through presentations, interactive activities, live polling, and open discussions, participants will share their perspectives, help shape real-world case studies, and explore how organisations can prepare for the changing mobility landscape.

Register for the stakeholder event

The event will combine an update on the project's work with interactive sessions designed to encourage stakeholder participation and gather input to inform the next stages of RESKILLING.

1. Discover the project's progress and results

The morning will begin with a welcome and introduction to the event, followed by a discussion of why RESKILLING matters for Europe's mobility transition. Participants will receive an update on the project's progress, achievements, and next steps, including how the project is addressing the employment and skills implications of CCAM.

2. Connect with the RESKILLING community

The second session will focus on the RESKILLING community and the role stakeholders can play in the project's development. Participants will hear about how their contributions have helped shape the work to date and what comes next. The session will also explore how the community can work for its members, with contributions from POLIS, the International Road Federation (IRF) and the Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL).

3. Help shape real-world CCAM case studies

How will CCAM deployment affect specific jobs and skills across the mobility sector? This session will introduce the RESKILLING case studies and explore the links between emerging mobility applications, occupational changes, and future skills needs.

After the introduction, participants will have the opportunity to contribute directly to developing these case studies. The interactive discussion will help identify relevant challenges, opportunities and priorities, ensuring that the project's analysis reflects stakeholder experience and real-world needs.

4. Explore the RESKILLING approach to business models

The final thematic session will examine how CCAM may influence business models and the conditions needed to support its deployment. Participants will be introduced to the RESKILLING project's approach to CCAM business models and invited to reflect on what these developments could mean for their own organisations and the wider mobility ecosystem.

The discussion will offer an opportunity to consider emerging business opportunities and the implications of new mobility services, while contributing perspectives to inform the project's ongoing work.

The event will conclude with a summary of key takeaways and next steps.

The RESKILLING Annual Stakeholder Event gives participants the opportunity to engage directly with the project, exchange knowledge with stakeholders across the mobility ecosystem, and contribute to research and case studies addressing these challenges. Their input will help ensure that the project's outputs remain relevant to the needs and priorities of the wider stakeholder community.

POLIS members and other interested stakeholders working across transport, mobility, research, training and policy are encouraged to join the discussion and share their expertise.
