Urban Freight Energy Efficiency Pilot

FREILOT aimed to increase the energy efficiency of goods transport in urban areas and reduce CO2 emissions.

The project consortium has developed a new approach to tackle the following challenges:

• Traffic management (intersection control optimised for energy efficiency)
• Vehicle (Acceleration and adaptive speed limiters) management
• Driver (Enhanced "eco-driving" support) management
• Fleet management (Real-time loading/ delivery space booking)
