About STREnGth_M

STREnGth_M is an innovative road transport project supporting the ambitions of the European Green Deal and the Paris Agreement. Running from February 2023 to February 2026, the project brings together a dynamic consortium of 23 partners from 10 Member States and beyond. It is led by AVL—one of the world’s leading mobility technology companies in development, simulation, and testing for the automotive industry and other sectors—and serves as ERTRAC's Coordinated Support Action (CSA). It seeks to:

  • Specify future research needs in road transport
  • Update and coordinate strategic research agendas and roadmaps in the field
  • Facilitate continuous exchange between Horizon Europe partnerships and platforms related to road transport research
  • Identify barriers to the deployment of research results at both European and international levels
  • Monitor global progress in electric mobility while assessing the feasibility of innovative solutions for emerging markets in Africa, Asia, and Latin America
  • Strengthen existing links — and establish new ones — between European, national, and regional programmes, as well as support structures for international cooperation task forces
