Digital Twin in Urban Mobility Planning

How can Digital Twin technology help regions and cities to plan for the urban mobility of tomorrow, moving away from fossil-fuel intensive transportation methods, and towards climate-neutral mobility? Rogaland Country Council is organizing a workshop on September 23 to find out!

In the scope of the Nordic Edge Expo, the Rogaland Country Council is organizing a workshop on Digital Twins, on September 23, 12:00-14:00 (CEST). This is the opportunity to know more about the LEAD project, represented by POLIS' Senior Project Manager Giacomo Lozzi.

In the first part of the workshop, a keynote speech will be given by Eddy Hartog, Head of Unit Technologies for Smart Communities at European Commission, who will give us an overview of the EU DG Connect’s priorities in urban mobility
planning and the importance of reducing Co2-emissions from the mobility sector in order to reach a climate neutral Europe by 2050.

We will then hear from Mette Fossan, Head of Business Development at Rogaland County Council and Tor Aanonsen, Project Leader, Rogaland County Council, who will present Rogaland County Council’s “Busroad” project and why applying Digital Twin technology is a key ingredient in the project.

In the second part of the workshop, the participants will choose to join one of four workshops, each covering a specific issue related to the use of Digital Twin technology and mobility. The workshops will be led by the prominent networks POLIS, OASC, the Smart Cities Marketplace, and the leading Norwegian
transport cluster VIA.

The workshop will be led by the talented moderator Anthony Van de Ven, from the Eindhoven Brainport EU office.
