iRAP Innovation Workshop 2026

iRAP's 2026 Innovation Workshop on future-ready roads will be held on 20 May in Budapest, Hungary, during the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2026.

iRAP's 2026 Innovation Workshop is a high-energy and engaging forum gathering road safety leaders and experts collaborating to create 'Future-Ready Roads for Safe, Sustainable Mobility'. This is the 13th edition of the series, showcasing the latest global innovation driving safer roads and sustainable mobility worldwide.

The event dives into the challenges and opportunities for the future of transport and mobility in the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026-2035. The focus will be on the changes and technological innovations that are revolutionising the sector, such as artificial intelligence and harmonised tools to improve road safety assessments, and also innovative global programs, policy, financing, and systems are empowering data-driven decisions for safer, climate-neutral cities.

The Workshop will be held during TRA2026, taking place from 18 to 21 May 2026 in Budapest, Hungary. TRA is one of Europe's main transport conferences, attracting over 3,000 participants and 100 exhibitors.
