DUT Conference 2026
Join the DUT Conference 2026 in Brussels on 10 June 2026 to engage in thought-provoking conversations on how to future-proof cities, offering a timely opportunity to reflect on the importance of urban research and innovation for Europe's future.
As we are over halfway through the Decade of Action, the urgency to translate the ambitious goals in the Urban Agenda for the EU, UN Agenda 2030, European Green Deal, and Competitiveness Compass into tangible local outcomes is increasing. The European Partnership Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) aims to fund transformative research and innovation to boost capacity building for urban stakeholders and provide them with the necessary tools to implement the sustainable mobility transition.
The DUT Conference 2026, titled 'Driving Urban Transitions: From Promise to Proof', will spotlight DUT's flagship activities and strategic direction leading up to 2033. This conference represents a significant milestone, shifting from building the partnership to demonstrating its impact and advocating for a robust, long-term European urban research and innovation agenda. It will showcase results, lessons learned, and scalable solutions from DUT-funded projects focused on urban mobility, energy, and circularity.
The one-day event will gather researchers, public authorities, representatives from the private sector, civil society, and European institutions and initiatives. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in transdisciplinary collaboration and discover innovative solutions and scalable opportunities through a bottom-up research model that supports a climate-neutral, resilient, and inclusive urban transition.
