deployEMDS - NFC workshop: lessons learnt and replicability
The deployEMDS project is hosting its last workshop online for its Network of Follower Cities on Friday 23 October 2026, 10:30-12:00, presenting the lessons learnt and replicability paths from the project.
The final deployEMDS workshop with the Network of Followers Cities (NFC) will bring together project partners, implementation sites and follower cities to reflect on the experience gained throughout the project and explore how the results, approaches and solutions developed through deployEMDS can be replicated in other European cities and contexts.
The workshop will provide an opportunity to move beyond the presentation of project results and create a space for exchange, reflection and co-creation. In particular, the event will connect the practical experience of the implementation sites with the needs, challenges and ambitions of the Network of Followers Cities.
Agenda:
- Introduction to the workshop (POLIS)
- Update on the progress of the deployEMDS project: first lessons learnt (Acatech, coordinator of the project)
- From deployment to replication: what could be transferred? (Vianova)
- Implementation sites in practice:
- Milan: Alessandro Giovannini and Valerio Paruscio from AMAT will explain how the data space approach can support the creation of MaaS and simulation tools
- Île-de-France Region: Clémence Castell from Instant System will present their work on integrating EV charging station data aggregated from multiple open-data sources into a multimodal mobility platform
- Barcelona: Jim Athes, from i2cat will explain us how to onboard operators in the data space framework, ensuring them to keep control on their data
