The Annual POLIS Conference 2022 did an open call for speakers to present innovative solutions! Taking place on 30 November and 1 December 2022 in Brussels (Belgium), our parallel sessions aim to feature a diverse mix of highly passionate and qualified speakers eager to present the latest innovations in the mobility field. From urban researchers to city and region representatives, and from start-up projects to industry leaders - we welcomed proposals from different fields of mobility.

Over the past few editions of the POLIS Conference, we have been trying to address the gender imbalance in the transport sector (check out some of the amazing actions taken by our members to #BreakTheBias in this article we published at the beginning of March 2022) by making women more visible and offering them a platform to share their work. We again strongly encouraged women in the transport sector in our Call for Speakers!

What kind of abstracts were we looking for?

We will prioritise contributions that are high on the mobility agenda of cities and regions, featured in today's debates around urban transport innovation, such as:

  • Dynamically managing urban space;
  • Unlocking the value of mobility data;
  • Ensuring a Just Transition ...

... and many more! The full list of topics can be found in the 'Call for Speakers' document.

For any questions, do not hesitate to contact Sebastien Nolens, Communications Manager at POLIS.
