Tilburg
Tilburg, situated in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands, is a city and municipality with a population of 222,601 as of 1 July 2021. It ranks as the second-largest in North Brabant, and stands as the seventh-largest in the entire Netherlands.
Home to institutions like Tilburg University, Avans University of Applied Sciences, and Fontys University of Applied Sciences, the city is renowned for its ten-day funfair held annually in July. Notably, "Roze Maandag" (Pink Monday) during the funfair is dedicated to the LGBT community.
Tilburg features three railway stations – Tilburg, Tilburg Universiteit, and Tilburg Reeshof. The "Spoorzone" area, encompassing 75 hectares around Tilburg Central station, formerly a Dutch Railways train maintenance yard, is transforming into a vibrant urban zone after being acquired by the city.
