Breda University of Applied Sciences

Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) is an international higher education institution with about 7,700 students from over 60 countries, situated in the south of the Netherlands. BUas offers professional and academic bachelors and masters programs in the disciplines of Games & Media, Hotel, Facility, Logistics, Built Environment and Tourism & Leisure. BUas’ education has a strong focus on practice-oriented  knowledge  development in close cooperation with relevant national and international partners and (industry) stakeholders. Next to it educational activities, BUas is actively involved in international, national and regional research projects.

The BUas Academy for Built Environment and Logistics (ABEL) comprises about  1,045 students and 90 employees. The unique expertise of the ABEL research is a provision of the integral approach to livable cities, combining  mobilty, logistics and urban design perspectives under one umbrella.

Through POLIS, BUas wishes to expand its international network related to the development of knowledge and innovation in mobilitiy, urban logistics and built environment and where necessary to provide knowledge expertise within different Polis Working groups.

BUas is/was involved in the following EU projects: CIVITAS METAMORPHOSIS, CIVITAS ELEVATE, CHIPS and NISTO.
