SPACE4Cities Webinar: How can cities and regions access Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) and Copernicus Contributing Mission (CCM) data
SPACE4Cities is hosting a webinar for cities and regions on how to turn open satellite data into practical insights for smarter and more resilient decision-making. The webinar will take place on 22 January 2026.
As cities and regions are at the forefront of the sustainable transition, Copernicus satellite data can be a powerful and free resource to support key local priorities such as urban planning, climate adaptation, air quality, and risk management. The webinar by SPACE4Cities 'How can cities and regions access Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) and Copernicus Contributing Mission (CCM) data' aims to support sub-national authorities in tackling real local challenges by providing a clear and practical introduction to the potential of open satellite data.
The session will explain how to analyse satellite data directly in the browser, generate and share data products, and how to access high-value datasets—many available for free only to public authorities. The focus will be on Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE)—the EU’s central platform for accessing and processing Copernicus satellite data in the cloud—and the Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM), which provide additional high-resolution satellite data.
