NextETRUCK Mid-term Conference

The NextETRUCK consortium invites you to our mid-term conference on 21 February 2024 from 9-16:00 at U-residency at the VUB campus, followed by an internal meeting of the NextETRUCK reference group (16-18:00).

NextETRUCK draws some interim conclusions and takes stock of the first project results, provides an overview of the pilots in the UK, Barcelona and Istanbul while inviting other EU-funded projects of the AEVETO zero-emission HDV cluster to discuss the broader picture of decarbonising (urban) freight. Our lunch break will provide a perfect ambience to meet with engaged stakeholders and our panel discussion will enhance your insight into the test sites, involved OEMs and pilot leaders that test the physical and digital innovation of our battery-powered HDVs. In case you cannot join us in Brussels, please attend the event online through our hybrid platform.

Three reasons why you should join:

1) Gain a detailed overview of the NextETRUCK project

NextETRUCK draws some interim conclusions and takes stock of the first project results, provides an overview of the pilots in the UK, Barcelona and Istanbul, while highlighting the innovative aspects of the project, including the real-world tests of state-of-the-art thermal management solutions, newly developed e-powertrains, fast-charging solutions and much more.

2) Engage with several zero-emission freight projects by attending the AEVETO cluster presentations and panel debate

Around half a dozen EU-funded projects test zero-emission trucks in different urban, peri-urban, regional and even international environments. Whether these test vehicles are propelled by electricity, hydrogen or a mix, it is fascinating to learn about the technological advancements of the last couple of years.

3) Learn about the perspectives of cities and the road freight industry by listening to their plans to decarbonise urban freight

POLIS will host a panel discussion about urban freight beyond the aspects of EU-funded projects, by including the perspectives of cities across Europe and their plan to reduce the negative impacts of trucks, while guaranteeing city access for the goods transport

Besides intriguing discussions between NextETRUCK partners and industry experts, our lunch break will provide a perfect ambience to meet with engaged stakeholders and our panel discussion will enhance your insight into the test sites, involved OEMs and pilot leaders that test the physical and digital innovation of our battery-powered HDVs.
