New Cities webinar: public transport after COVID-19

As the coronavirus pandemic brings urban life around the globe to a halt, it’s time to present our new digital initiative tackling the impacts of Covid-19 on city-making and city-planning around the world. It is time, we believe, for a Big Rethink about what cities can be in the future.

Premiering Tuesday, April 7th and running for eight consecutive weeks, these live virtual discussions bring together leading global experts to examine the longer-term implications of the Covid-19 crisis.

In this session of The Big RethinkNewCities and CoMotion join forces to discuss how public transportation can make a comeback. We’ll examine case studies from cities that have committed to free public transportation, identify key barriers and enablers to accelerating public transportation ridership, and discuss the significance of public trust in the post-pandemic world of urban mobility. This takes place on 14 April at 18:00 CET.

More webinars will take place throughout April and May.
