GOLIA Webinar: Digitalising stakeholder engagement and analysing social media sentiments
On 5 October 2026 between 10:00 and 11:30 CEST, the GOLIA project will host a webinar introducing GO-INFO, a digital citizen engagement module designed to help cities strengthen dialogue with residents and support more transparent, data-driven decision-making.
Meaningful citizen participation requires more than occasional consultations. Cities need ways to understand residents’ views, respond to emerging concerns and keep communities informed throughout the policymaking process. Digital tools can help make this dialogue more continuous and accessible, while providing local authorities with new ways to gather and analyse public feedback.
Developed within the Horizon Europe GOLIA project, GO-INFO is part of the broader GO-X digital ecosystem. The module aims to help local authorities move beyond traditional top-down approaches by creating structured channels through which citizens can share their views, provide feedback and follow the development and implementation of urban policies.
During the webinar, participants will discover how GO-INFO brings together several tools to support different stages of public engagement. These include targeted surveys, enabling cities to gather feedback from specific population groups; social media sentiment analysis, helping identify public perceptions, emerging concerns and practical suggestions from online discussions; and a public dashboard, providing transparent updates on policy developments and implementation progress.
The session will combine an introduction to the technical functionalities of GO-INFO from its developers with a practical perspective from the city of Pilsen, which has used the module for targeted surveys and social media sentiment analysis. This will offer participants an opportunity to see how digital engagement tools can be applied in a real-world urban context and how the information gathered can support more informed policymaking.
Join the webinar to learn how GO-INFO can help cities make citizen participation more informed, continuous and impactful, while strengthening transparency and accountability between local authorities and their communities.
