JULIA + egeniouss + SPACE4Cities Webinar: From space to mobility — Satellite technologies for smarter transport

The projects JULIA, egeniouss, and SPACE4Cities are hosting a joint webinar on the use of satellite technologies in mobility on 2 October, from 11:00 to 12:30.

The webinar 'From space to mobility: satellite technologies for smarter transport' will share insights from the three projects on how they use satellite technologies to improve mobility in their pilot cities.

JULIA, short for Joint Developments for Urban resiLIence connecting users to public transport through space technology, is a Horizon EU-funded initiative from the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) seeking to integrate EU Space services and data into the global public transport sector, primarily utilising Galileo, the European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS).  The project aims to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of public transport networks, covering buses, trains, and bicycles.

Egeniouss aims to make accurate and reliable navigation available for everyone, improving a real-time visual localisation framework for satellite-based navigation.

SPACE4Cities focuses on opening satellite data for city planning. Funded by Horizon Europe via EUSPA, it aims to procure replicable solutions, via smart use of European satellite data, for better and more dynamic management of public space, green areas, transport infrastructure, city maintenance, and the cities’ overall resilience.

The agenda is the following:
