Discover great opportunities with SPACE4Cities

SPACE4Cities is a Horizon Europe funded pre-commercial procurement project that aims to procure replicable solutions, via smart use of European satellite data, for better and more dynamic management of public space, green areas, transport infrastructure and city maintenance—and the cities’ overall resilience.

In an exciting collaboration, the POLIS Network's JULIA project is joining forces with SPACE4Cities. Both projects share a common goal: to integrate satellite data more effectively into our cities. JULIA, also funded under Horizon Europe, focuses on enhancing global public transport systems by leveraging EU Space services, particularly Galileo, the European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS). The project is set to make public transport networks—buses, trains, and even bicycles—more reliable, efficient, and sustainable.

The SPACE4Cities project is currently rolling some interesting initiatives as part of their ongoing Open Market Consultation (OMC) of their satellite data Pre-Commercial Procurement project:

  • Upcoming OMC Webinar (28 August 2024): This webinar is a must-attend for suppliers and companies interested in shaping the future of urban management. Register here.
  • Survey for Cities and Regions: If you're involved in urban planning, don't miss this opportunity to share your insights on the challenges and potential use cases for satellite data. The survey is open until 15 September. Participate here.
  • Survey for Suppliers: Suppliers have until the end of October to contribute their expertise through a dedicated survey. Get involved here.
