Polis joins forces with other organisations on the type-approval directive

Technical inspection services, EU cities and environmental groups called for improved type approval and market surveillance regulations in view of the 3rd trilogue negociations.

The organisations urged the EU decision makers to make progress at the 23rd of November meeting with a view to reaching an ambitious agreement by the end of 2017 at the latest. The letter outlines that it is of utmost importance that post-Dieselgate reforms are swiftly put in place to ensure robust controls of manufacturers and authorities, so that no circumvention of rules occurs in Europe in the future.
