Join the SUMP-PLUS Follower Cities Group

Applications are now open to join CIVITAS SUMP-PLUS Follower Cities Group. Cities can now apply to participate in the group designed to allow local authorities to share and learn about implementing, integrating and enhancing urban mobility through six SUMP-PLUS co-creation City Laboratories (CLs).

Sixteen planning authorities will be chosen to become members of the group, whose activities will start in early 2021 and run until 31 August 2022.

After being selected and assigned to one or more City Laboratory, the Follower Cities will follow the actions taken by the CL(s) closely, learn from the leading cities, and offer them feedback concerning their implementation activities. This will be followed by an observation period, knowledge exchange programme and subsequent mentoring programme

The programme is open to:

• Any urban authority of a local administrative unit that is active in sustainable transport planning according to the degree of urbanisation as city, town, or suburb;
• Any association or grouping of urban authorities of local administrative units that is active in sustainable transport planning. This can include associations or groupings of public authorities, agencies and companies, NGOs, and advocacy groups that are working in partnership in the same city region

All applicants must be legal entities established in a Member State (MS) of the European Union (EU) or within an associated country of the Horizon 2020 programme.
