Electromobility in Europe - Exchanges and site visit in Rotterdam
The whole event was organised within the framework of the CIVITAS thematic group on Clean Vehicles and Fuels. The aim of the group is to promote the exchange on key policies and measures in this area.
On the first day, the EU projects ZeEUS and ELIPTIC organised a joint workshop on the electrification of public transport. Cities and other organisations had the opportunity to discuss the KPIs for electric busses and learnt more about the use of electric PT infrastructure for other mobility modes.
On the second day, the city of Rotterdam presented its objectives, strategy and activities in terms of electromobility as well as the national plan for electromobility. The presentations were followed by a study visit in Rotterdam, including:
- Visit and presentation at the RDM campus
- Visit of public charging infrastructure
- Visit of public fast-charging infrastructure
- Visit of the central train station - multimodality & intermodality.
