TRACE Newsletter - January 2017 released

The TRACE project assesses the potential of movement tracking services to better plan and promote walking and cycling in cities, and develops tracking tools that encourage the take up of walking and cycling measures.

Supported by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Commission, the project has now been running for one and a half year, and is now getting into full swing: the TRACE tools are now ready, the TRACE Pilot Implementation Strategy has just been released and the pilots will gradually begin from March 2017 on in all cities involved in the project.

Each issue of the newsletters also features an interview with a high level representative from a partner city or a TRACE expert. Now it is the turn of the TRACE coordinator João Barreto (INESC-ID).

The newsletter contains also an article the TRACE Tracking Tools seminar which took place on 22 November 2016. The purpose of the event was to validate the TRACE apps by getting feedback from external stakeholders.
