All videos and materials of the SURF (Sustainable URban Freight) e-course are now available
SURF (Sustainable URban Freight) is a collaboration with Environmental Defense Fund Europe, one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations working to turn environmental solutions into action. The Project develops and structures knowledge and awareness on Zero Emission Zones for Freight (ZEZ-F).
The Project developed an e-course aimed to equip local and national policy makers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and operators with the skills and knowledge required to develop, implement and operate ZEZ-F. The objective is to raise awareness and establish long-lasting capabilities for all key stakeholders to successfully support the transition to zero emission deliveries.
The e-course is primarily designed for city and regional authorities but aims to provide a solid knowledge basis for any stakeholder involved in urban freight operations. The course will be openly available to all the public.
You can find here all 23 videos that make up the e-course, as well as the presentations and related materials.
It is organized in 3 Units:
- Why ZEZ for freight? The context
- Toward a Successful ZEZ-F: Steps for Action
- Keys to success
In addition to lectures and material for self-study, a kick-off webinar (15 September 2021) gave key information and guidance about the learning programme and the SURF Project.
You can still register for the e-course here. Please use the following enrolment key:SURFfreighte-course
