The parallel sessions at the 2019 Polis Conference will feature in-depth presentations showing innovation in policy and practice across the transport spectrum. Each session will aim for a mix of current practice and future plans from cities and regions, with urban transport research and industry initiatives.
Polis is seeking contributions in the following areas:
- Environment & Health in Transport
- Traffic Efficiency & Mobility
- Road Safety & Security
- Access
- Governance & Integration
Priority topics within each of these areas are listed in the call for speakers.
Women in transport, submit your abstracts!
The transport sector is far from gender balanced. Polis wants to make women in transport more visible and offer them a platform to share their work. We strongly encourage women in the transport sector to respond to our call for speakers in greater numbers!
About the Polis Conference
The annual Polis Conference provides an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements to a large audience, and for the wider transport community to engage with representatives of local and regional authorities on innovative transport solutions. Last year’s Polis conference in Manchester welcomed around 550 participants.
