Research project launches survey on autonomous driving in European cities

The project has recently launched the survey “Automated Traffic, Urban Future - The context of Europe”. What are the challenges ahead for automated and connected mobility? What are possible fields of action and where could be the areas of application? AVENUE 21 is seeking to collect opinions and comments from transport experts to create a better understanding of the city of the future.

About the Survey

The first round of the survey was conducted in 2017 and looked at different cases of deployment of AV (use-cases), its impact on space and the potential advantages and disadvantages of automated traffic. You can find here the key findings of the survey.

Building on these results, the second part focuses on possible scenarios of AV as well as fields of problems and action that will be relevant for European cities. It will take you around 25 minutes to respond to the questionnaire. The study is anonymized. A detailed report of both parts of the survey will follow at the end of the project.
