Innovative Solutions for Urban Freight Transport and Environment in the Circular Economy Era - 20 October 2017, Rome

The Rome CITYLAB implementation is developing an innovative system for integrating direct and reverse logistic flows to increase the collection of recycled materials while reducing negative transport externalities.

The workshop touched upon innovative urban logistics solutions being trialled including crowd-shipping, automated parcel lockers, off-hour delivery systems, cargo bikes and reverse logistics applications.

The event was opened by Linda Meleo, Rome Counsellor for Transport, and Pinuccia Montanari, Rome Counsellor for Environment.
