Île-de-France Mobilités receives Thinking Cities Award
The travel planner offers Itineraries, timetables and traffic info. During an initial pilot period, every journey was subsidised with 2 EUR by the regional authority manifesting the collaboration between the public and private sector. Maybe interesting to mention.Project manager Vincent Szaleniec said: "The fact that this is a single, first-entry point for different carpooling services makes it truly innovative. It is a good example of collaboration between the public and private sector."
The Thinking Cities award is handed out each year at the Polis Conference to a city or region that presented an innovative mobility solution at the Polis conference, which is transferable and contributes to solving a mobility challenge.
This year's award was presented by transdev, a company pioneering the operating of autonomous transport systems.
