European Mobility Week: Join the movement

Organised in order to promote sustainable mobility, the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK ends every year with the traditional "car-free day". This year's theme "Chose. Change. Combine." puts intermodality forward. European citizens are encouraged to combine walking, cycling and the public transports in their daily trips during this exciting week.

At the time of writing (3/09/2015), the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK just reached the thousand registered cities and towns. If yours is not registered yet, it is not too late! The online registration system is open until the begining of the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK.

Volunteering cities and towns can decide whether they will hold a week of activities focused on multimodality and sustainable mobility; implement one or more permanent transport measures, such as building bicycle lanes or widening footpaths; or hold a “Car-Free Day”, on 22 September.
