It's finally out! Interreg Euro-MED has finally unveiled its latest publication, the MED Guide for Sustainable Explorers, highlighting the outstanding achievements of the programme's 2014-2020 projects. The guide is also a great demonstration of the collaborative work undertaken between 13 Mediterranean European countries.
What does the document focus on, you ask? The tangible results of the Euro-MED projects, such as the methodologies, studies, and strategies have the potential to drive positive change in the region. It is important to note that, as this document is but a summary of the key outputs from each project, it is just a fraction of the results achieved.
In the spotlight: Urban Transports Community
Of course, our now-concluded Urban Transports Community project also made the cut! Launched in November 2016 and renewed from October 2019 until December 2022, it was an initiative that aimed to promote sustainable urban mobility planning in the Euro-Mediterranean region as an effective tool to reduce carbon emissions and improve the quality of life of the population and the environment.
Here are some of the main tools and outputs highlighted by the guide:
- Selection of tools and solutions with the highest replicability potential
- Technology scenario for Connected and Automated Vehicles infrastructure planning
- Catalogue of sustainable urban mobility solutions
