Modern supply chains are often finely-tuned and dependent on consistent conditions and open borders for trade. So it's perhaps no surprise that COVID-19 is causing major challenges for supply chains and economies across the world.

Whilst empty shelves may now be a common sight in some shops, the problem doesn't lie in supply, but in getting goods where they need to be on time. Disrupted transport links are often the cause of this, with freight - whether by sea, road or air - suffering from COVID-19.
