Rotterdam launches new initiative for post-lockdown recovery

Rotterdam has launched a new initiative to help the city emerge stronger from the COVID-19 crisis.

The 'Sterker door' initiative ('Stronger ahead') has been launched by the municipality, covering the interests of residents, businesses, education, public organisations and the municipality.

Three main tracks will be covered:

• Develop quick actions to restart public life in Rotterdam observing the basic rules, such as keeping a meter and a half away
• Start repairing socio-economic damage
• Looking forward to how we emerge stronger from the crisis

Actions will be selected and completed for each track. Depending on the size and complexity of the underlying problem, action will be undertaken in the summer, the autumn or early next year.
