Google: COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports

As global communities respond to COVID-19, data on travel and movement is becoming increasingly valuable to understand what people need from urban mobility systems. Now Google, as one of the largest sources of aggregated data through Google Maps, has offered its services to help people respond to COVID-19.

The Community Mobility Reports aim to provide insights the impact of travel restrictions, 'working from home' and other government actions on people's movements. The reports chart movement trends over time by geography, across different categories of places such as retail and recreation, groceries and pharmacies, parks, transit stations, workplaces, and residential.
