Utrecht opens +4000 bicycle parking
The recently opened bicycle parking has three floors. Each floor has a different colour, and sections of the parking are indicated with numbers - to allow for a swift retrieval of the parked bicycle. Free spots are indicated digitally. The first 24 hours of parking is free of charge, after that users pay €1,25 euros per day. The second floor of the parking provides immediate access to the rail platforms.
When all planned bicycle parking is realised , Utrecht will have its stock of 33.000 bicycle spaces, most of them close to the Central Station. This might even be insufficient.
