Urban freight: 2 weeks left to apply for the 5th SUMP Award

This year, the theme of the SUMP Award is “Freight in sustainable urban mobility planning”.

The SUMP award scheme, organised in the framework of  the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK, acknowledges the important role of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) in striving for a more sustainable urban mobility in cities.

This year, cities which do particularly well regarding the integration of freight in their SUMPs have the opportunity to submit their application until Friday 28 October. All documents are available online at www.mobilityweek.eu/sump-award.

Who will succeed Malmö, winner of the 4th SUMP Award?

The name of the winner of the SUMP Award will be announced at the annual Award Ceremony, in spring 2017. Both the 5th SUMP Award and the 2016 EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Award will be given during this ceremony, traditionally taking place in Brussels.

All local and regional authorities from the EU and the EEA, that have initiated or completed the development of a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan are encouraged to take part in the competition. Get your application ready!
