Towards standardised approaches for on-street parking - Lisbon 19 September - Register now!

To create a better understanding between the different actors in parking activities, the European Parking Association (EPA) and Polis have established a partnership to discuss the interaction of urban transport and parking activities. Both organisations regularly exchange information and expertise about making parking in cities better. As part of their creating an interchange of ideas, Polis and EPA organised a successful seminar in Stuttgart, on the 16th of May 2011, and in Helsinki on the 17th of September 2012, and on the 10th of September 2013 in Dublin. A fourth workshop will be held at the Iberian Parking Congress, to take place in Lisbon on 19 September 2014.

The event will focus standardised approaches for on-street parking.

In a first session, the Dutch experience of a national quality standard for on-street parking will be presented. Two European capital cities will present their instruments to implement standardised solutions for on-street parking.

In a second session, technology providers are asked to present their tools for better on-street parking management.

Finally, a panel discussion will bring priority measures and next steps forward to establishing a European Standard for on-street parking.

The results of the event will feed the establishment of a European framework for on-street parking quality standards.
