Third CIVITAS Activity Fund call now open

CIVITAS opened its third call for applications to the Activity Fund on 30 March 2015. A total of €60.000 is available in the competitive call, for co-funding of tools and opportunities designed to support the take-up of sustainable urban mobility measures in Europe.

The call is open for six weeks. The deadline for applications is 6 May 2015. Following an evaluation by the CIVITAS CAPITAL Management Committee and final approval by the European Commission, the co-funded take-up activities are expected to start by the start of July 2015. The main focus of the call is on the use of interesting, practical and relevant tools which can be used to improve sustainable mobility measures. Three other opportunities are also available via this call. Individual selection criteria, co-funding amounts and application processes are applicable for these opportunities.

CIVITAS CAPITAL is seeking proposals for the following take-up levels:

  1. 1. ‘Being inspired’: study tours, workshops or similar activities at the initial take-up phase;
  2. 2. ‘Structural dialogue’: concrete staff exchange between take-up and donor cities;
  3. 3. ‘Studies’: evaluation (long-term; impact and process), feasibility studies, etc;
  4. 4. ‘Systematic transfer’: feasibility studies leading towards pilot demonstration and implementation;

Between two and three projects per take-up level are expected to receive co-funding of up to 50 percent, with sums between €1.000 and €10.000.

Applications may be submitted by individual or teams of organisations. Activities that have previously been funded by the CIVITAS Initiative are not eligible. Organisations applying for funding need to be established in an EU Member State, or Albania, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Israel, Kosovo, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland or Turkey.
