Registration open! Smart Urban Freight Conference 2015

The Smart Urban Freight Conference 2015 will disseminate the results of the Smartfusion project - including the Smart Urban Freight Designer tool - to an expert audience of city and regional authorities, logistics operators, fleet managers, industry representatives and academics.

A poster session will explore and present state-of-the-art solutions to urban freight problems in European cities.

Interactive sessions and micro-lectures will stimulate knowledge transfer among peers across Europe and, building on the success of last year’s event, Smartfusion will launch a Call for City-based posters, to gather new insights into policy, technology, social and economic interventions.

Background

Smartfusion: Smart Urban Freight Solutions is a public-private partnership (PPP) which builds upon the existing urban freight development strategies of three demonstration city-regions: Newcastle, Berlin and the Lombardy region, Italy.

The project has developed and demonstrated novel transport innovations to improve the efficiency, as well as social and environmental sustainability, of urban freight operations and the related urban- interurban shipment processes.

The project started on April 1, 2012 and will run until October 31, 2015.
