Pedelecs in urban areas
The main challenge lies in the difficulty in distinguishing between between type-approved and non type-approved pedelecs. In the former case, users would need to ride on the road with other motorised road vehicles and should in principle hold a licence and wear a helmut. Whereas the latter would be considered bikes.
The ECF is interested in receiving:
- statistics/data/opinions on pedelecs/speed pedelecs?
- information on specific problems with infrastructure or attitudes from drivers/cyclists/pedestrians/pedelec users
- opinion/data on pedi-cabs or rickshaw peddling type vehicles.
