NODES Final conference

How can I better disclose information to my passengers when they arrive at my interchange? Which business model should I use to diversify the funding of my interchange? How can I improve the energy efficiency?

These are just some of the questions that interchange managers face. During 3 years, some 17 organisations worked together within the FP7 funded NODES project to help cities and PT operators in better understanding the performance of their interchange and to point them towards tools which could support them in improving its performance.

On 22 September at the Bibliothèque Solvay, they will gather in Brussels to showcase the results of their 3 year collaboration. These interchange experts from around Europe will present in detail a set of tools in each of the five functions which interchanges have:

  • Land use and infrastructure
  • Design
  • ICT & Intermodality
  • Interchange Management and Business models.
  • Energy efficiency and environment

Join them in this unique opportunity to learn about the most effective tools and to discuss them with experts from around Europe. Click here to see the draft programme

The event is free of charge however registration is compulsory. Click here to register.

On 23 September, you are invited by the city of Ghent to visit the Ghent Sint Pieters interchange. Facing an unprecedented increase in passenger flow, this interchange has been undergoing profound refurbishment since 2007. Works are planned to last until 2025 during which the interchange is still under operation. For more information on the technical visit, click here.
