Member in the Spotlight: Rotterdam’s ambitious Goal towards zero Emissions from City Logistics in 2020

This new concept has many benefits especially for the citizens in Rotterdam, as Pex Langenberg, Rotterdam’s Vice-Mayor for Sustainability, Mobility and Culture, points out. To him, mobility is not a goal on itself, but rather a condition for a city. This is why efficient and sustainable mobility is  beneficial for a resilient nad strong economy. The efforts in Rotterdam have payed off already: In 2014, The New Economy rewarded Rotterdam with a Best Smart City Award of the World. Rotterdam makes an excellent example of how a city progresses by implementing sustainablye goals along with innovative measurments.
