Member in the Spotlight: In Tallinn, residents travel for free

The fare-free concept is accompanied by considerable investments in the public transport system, like 20 new EURO 6 buses and 24 hybrid buses and during 2015-2016, there will be 20 new trams. Additionally, public transport priority system has been introduced, dedicating lanes for public transport, as well as real time information for public transport.

The fare-free PT concept was based on the model of the Chinese city Chengdu and active exchanges have been performed ever since.
